Bravo's Platinum Hit Reality Show Packed With Songwriting Drama

Bravo's Platinum Hit will debut on Bravo on May 30. The songwriting reality tv show will follow 12 up-and-coming musicians as they battle through a series of songwriting challenges. Jewel Kilcher is the show's host and Kara DioGuardi is the head judge. The winner gets a $100,000 cash prize, publishing deal with Sony, BMI Songwriters The Writing Camp and a recording deal with RCA/Jive.

Here is one of the first promos from the new show that contains highlights of the reality songwriting drama. Someone is accused of writing a song that is a "lyrical cesspool." Another songwriter is told they sound more like a nurse than a songwriter. You find the bios for all twelve contestants here. Take a look:
